Many gathered on a beautiful Saturday morning,  Oct 8, 2011 in the American Cemetery, Natchitoches, La for a  Patriotic grave marking of a Louisiana Patriot of the American Revolution named,  CLaude Thomas Pierre METOYER.  The two host chapters that sponsored the ceremony were the Natchitoches Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution  (SAR)  and the St Denis Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).   Both organizations placed their Patriotic markers on the Tomb of Patriot Metoyer.   Metoyer is the Progenitor of the Metoyer Family and many of his descendants were on hand to witness this honored ceremony.  Below are just a few pictures of that event.

  2. Thanks Anita, Your support and presence there also meant a great deal to me. That was a wonderful photo you captured at the very moment of me rendering a salute to our Louisiana Patriot ancestor- Claude Thomas Pierre Metoyer. I was honored to be there for this Patriot Grave Marking.

  7. Hello Kysla Jenkins, in response to your query, I see you’ve stated that you are a descendant of Coin coin and Pierre Metoyer. Are you able to document this ancestral lineage via any records ( birth, marriage, death ) for yourself back through each generations your parents, grandparents, great grandparent.? What books have you come in contact with (read) that have aided your research, so far? And lastly, what additional information are you looking for?
